Kennard G. Smith, MBA, CPA, CGMA is the Founder and Managing Member of KGS CPAs PLLC, a CPA advisory firm helping government contractors, startups, growing businesses, and other organizations build stronger financial systems, improve reporting, plan proactively for taxes, and make better-informed business decisions.

Kennard brings 15+ years of accounting and financial management experience spanning federal government contracting, financial reporting, audit support, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, indirect-rate management, financial systems implementation, and strategic business advisory.

Kennard earned his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, where he also served as MBA Class President. He is a licensed Virginia CPA and holds the CGMA designation.

He founded KGS CPAs to give organizations direct access to experienced CPA-level guidance that connects accounting, tax planning, financial strategy, systems improvement, compliance, and operational decision-making.
